A very severe class III solved with clear aligners
Class III malocclusion is one of the most significant challenges in orthodontics.
Traditionally, it is a type of malocclusion that has always been treated with orthognathic surgery or extractions in order to correct the skeletal and dental discrepancy.
However, advances in clear aligners have opened up new treatment options that are less invasive and just as effective. That is the case with the patient in the images, who was successfully treated by Dr. Diego Peydro, a leading name in clear aligners, without the need for surgery or extractions.
This young patient came to the practice with a class III malocclusion. Her symptoms included a reverse bite and clear facial disharmony, with the lower jaw more prominent than the upper one. As well as the esthetic implications, the patient had functional difficulties chewing and speaking.
How did we solve this case?
The initial assessment with Dr. Diego Peydro revealed that the patient had a class III malocclusion, generally treated with a combination of orthodontics and surgery. However, the patient preferred to avoid both surgery and extractions.
Following Dr. Diego Peydro’s advanced protocols, a treatment plan was designed with clear aligners. Dr. Peydro has developed specific techniques that make it possible to correct complex malocclusions without invasive procedures

After more than a year of treatment, the patient achieved a remarkable correction of her class III malocclusion:
- A correct dental relationship: the crossbite was completely corrected, with the upper teeth properly aligned over the lower ones.
- An improved appearance: her facial profile became more harmonious, removing the prominence of the lower jaw.
- Improved function: her difficulties chewing and speaking were resolved.
As you can see in the before and after images, the transformation has been impressive, confirming how effective the treatment is without resorting to surgery or extractions.
This case is a clear example of how Dr. Diego Peydro’s clear aligner protocols can offer effective, less invasive solutions for complex malocclusions. The key to that success lies in tailoring the treatment and using advanced technology that allows precise control of tooth movement.
