An open bite solved with clear aligners and without extractions
Here is the case of a patient who came to us because she had spent years wearing removable dentures to replace the teeth she was gradually losing, and had reached a point where she could not eat and, on top of that, felt she looked bad and much older. That is why, to solve this case, we proposed a rehabilitation with same-day implants.
The patient came to the practice saying she wanted to feel she had natural, fixed teeth again and to eat without worrying about an appliance that moves and has to be taken out to be cleaned.
TREATMENT:
Dental implants
DURATION:
4 months

During the examination we saw something very typical and common: teeth missing here and there, lost gradually over a lifetime, which had led to patch-up treatments carried out with no real order. These cases combine a few crowns, fillings and removable appliances.
There comes a point, as happened with our patient, when people want organized, orderly treatment with two clear objectives: being able to eat and looking good.
The treatment plan drawn up by the doctors
For our patient we drew up a treatment plan with same-day dental implants. To do that, we carried out the procedure on the upper arch at a first appointment and on the lower arch at a second one.
In both cases we removed the remaining teeth and placed the implants in the same procedure.
As we wanted the patient to start feeling she had natural teeth from day one, and we wanted the teeth to help with healing, on the day of the procedure itself we made the immediate-loading teeth in resin. That way, during the 4 months while the implants integrated, the patient had fixed teeth.
Once the 4 months needed for the implants to integrate were over, we took the final measurements and made the porcelain teeth in the color the patient chose, giving her smile incredible beauty and a rejuvenated look, boosting her self-esteem and allowing her to eat any kind of food again with confidence and enjoyment.
