Today we bring you the case of a young woman who had very severe protrusion of the incisors in both arches, because the arches were very narrow.
Because of the protrusion of the incisors in both arches, her smile was not harmonious and her profile was not balanced.
At other dental practices she had been to, she had been told that the only way to correct that severe tilt of the incisors was to extract 4 premolars and use the space from those extractions to reduce the proclination.
TREATMENT:
Clear aligners
DURATION:
A year and a half

The treatment plan for solving the protrusion
As Dr. Diego Peydro advised the patient, extractions are not recommended in cases like this, since they reduce the transverse dimension of the jaws and, as a result, both the look of the smile and its future occlusal stability would have suffered.
At Clínica Peydro we solved this case without any extractions, using clear aligners with the Spark technique alone.
The final result after treatment is a wide, harmonious smile, balanced with the rest of the patient’s face.
