The next step was to deal with the failed upper left lateral incisor implant. The implant was carefully removed and the area assessed to make sure there was no infection or significant bone loss. After the removal and a period of healing, a new implant was placed using state-of-the-art technology to ensure proper integration and long-term stability.
To correct the crowding, we chose clear aligner treatment. The aligners, designed specifically for the patient, moved the teeth into the right position gradually and practically invisibly. That approach not only improved the alignment of the teeth but also made oral hygiene easier during treatment.
With a healthy periodontal foundation, the teeth aligned and the new implant in place, the next step was the esthetic restoration of the smile. Porcelain veneers were chosen for the upper teeth, providing a durable, attractive solution.
Porcelain veneers are thin sheets bonded to the front surface of the teeth, correcting problems of color, shape and size. Here, the veneers were used to:
- Even out the color of the teeth, creating a uniform, bright smile.
- Restore the shape and size of the worn teeth, giving back both their function and their appearance.
