Here is the case of a young patient who was not comfortable with her smile. She came to us because, when she looked in the mirror, she did not see the beautiful smile she wanted to have.
If we look at this patient’s case in detail, we can see that it is a multidisciplinary case with the following features:
- First, the patient’s back teeth were narrow, which made the buccal corridors very noticeable.
- The patient had a gummy smile across the whole upper front section.
- The lower canines stood out more than the central incisors.
- On top of that, the central incisors were too square and the porcelain crowns the patient was wearing were not the same shade.
To solve all these problems and achieve the beautiful smile our patient was looking for, we first fitted orthodontic treatment and then finished with the esthetic dentistry phase.
Once the orthodontic treatment was complete, we scheduled teeth whitening along with a small amount of gum recontouring on the central incisors so that the final crowns would have a more suitable length.
To finish, we placed composite veneers on the central incisors to make them wider, redistributing the space across the four upper incisors, and fitted porcelain crowns on the two central incisors.
The change in this patient’s smile is more than visible. She now has a spectacular, beautiful smile 🙂
